Carnival in Ouro Preto

Ouro Preto is famous for their carnival. Since I’m living here, I wanted to go and see a little of the party.

I arrived very earlier and the street were, except for the traders, empty.

One of the groups that participated on 21 February was “O Zé Pereira dos Lacaios”, the oldest group in Brazil, that was created in 1867.

Another group that participated was Gatas e Gatões.

Starting a master

In 2000, I moved to Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. After my round the world trip in 2019, I decided to move in 2020 to Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil and start a master at the Federal University of Ouro Preto. It is fun how life goes around.
