Introdução

Org-mode é um gerenciador de informações pessoais e ferramenta de resumos para o Emacs. Este documento pretende oferecer ao leitor um “gostinho” do org-mode e também ensinar seu uso básico com um passo-a-passo e alguns screenchots. Em nenhum momento ele objetiva substituir o manual e apenas um subconjunto das funcionalidades do org-mode é coberto.

Esse tutorial tem sido traduzido para Francês, Espanhol, Japonês, Chinês, e Coreano. Agradecimentos especiais aos tradutores.

Livros Eletrônicos Educacionais

Hoje eu vi PROVIR, um dos blogs que acompanho, a reprodução de uma notícia publicada no Jornal do Senado sobre livros eletrônicos. Resolvi conferir os projetos mencionados na notícia e aqui encontram-se minhas impressões.

PLS 114/2010

"Aprovado em caráter terminativo na Comissão de Educação, Cultura e Esporte do Senado (CE) em 2012, aguarda votação na Câmara. De autoria do senador Acir Gurgacz (PDT-RO), o texto tem o objetivo de alterar a Política Nacional do Livro (Lei 10.753/2003) para garantir aos conteúdos (e-books) e equipamentos de leitura digital (e-readers) os mesmos benefícios tributários do livro impresso. LaTeX Workshop

Today happened the LaTeX + Git workshop that the laboratory where I "work" was organizing with the sponsorship of writeLaTeX. At this post you will find my post workshop thoughts. Before I start to write about it I want to thanks

• Abel Siqueira, that helped teaching the Git lessons,
• Kally Chung, that helped with the organization,
• Panaggio Ricardo and Wanderson Luiz, that helped solving students issues,
• Melissa Devens, that helped with the D-day logistic,
• Eric Lopes, that took the photos and also help solving students issues, and
• Andre Garcia, that make possible that we use the amazing room from EA2 during the Saturday.

Overview

In general, based on the feedbacks from the students (you can check it here <latex_workshop_feedback.txt>, if you read portuguese), the workshop was very nice.

MathML Layout Tests

Today someone showed up at #mathml requesting help:

2014-09-22 07:21:06     cerkiewny       raniere: hmm but I dont know how to make it work, I mean the things ment ioned in the bug are from matjax so its different syntax and I think the output image is different as well
2014-09-22 07:22:21     cerkiewny       raniere: from what I understood we want to have some reference image fro m rendered mathML than some reference html displaying this image only and compare it to the output of mathml, am I right? so my question is how do we get to this image?

This reminder me the difficult that I have to hacking Gecko’s layout engine so I decide to wrote a small “how to” for create MathML layout tests.

Software Freedom Day 2014

Ontem ocorreu o Software Freedom Day e o LibrePlanet São Paulo realizou uma série de palestras no Laboratório Hackerspace de Campinas (mais conhecido por LHC).

Como todo evento, as duas melhores parte são (1) reencontrar amigos que não vimos todo dia, revi o Cascardo e o Oliva, e (2) fazer novos amigos, como o Edson Ribeiro e a Vivianne Amaral que realizam um trabalho baseado em uma modificação do PirateBox.
