Aniversários no BBDB e avisos no Org Mode

O BBDB é uma agenda de contatos e o Org Mode é um gerenciador de tarefas. Ambos funcionam no Emacs e nesse post vou mostrar como fazer o BBDB e o Org Mode conversarem para que o aniverário dos seus contatos apareçam na sua agenda.

Configurando o BBDB

Para abrir o BBDB você pode utilizar M-x bbdb e obterá a lista de seus contatos no buffer.

Mova o cursor para um dos seus contatos, pressione i para adicionar um novo campo, digite anniversary como o nome do campo, e por último a data do aniversário do seu contato no formato AAAA-MM-DD ou MM-DD.

Reflections about serving at Software Carpentry Steering Committee in 2016

Last year I wrote a blog post talk about my activities on Software Carpentry Steering <../../../2015/12/11/swc> and I will do the same here for the 2016 term.

Assessment

I completely fail on this field but I discovered that assessment isn't just try to make sense to some data. During the Measuring the Impact of Workshops I learned from Beth Duckles that the way that you make the questions can impact on your results. At least this is one thing that the next Steering Committee doesn't need to worry to much since Data Carpentry now has a staff that is working on this issue.
